FREE Dance Camp
You read that right… it’s a FREE dance camp for local students in Monroe Road area schools, ages 6 to 13 years old (Greenway Park Elementary, Rama Road Elementary, Oakhurst STEAM, Idlewild Elementary, and McClintock Middle.) Your family is invited! Here’s the scoop on how to register your child for this exciting, educational, and artistic experience.
WHAT: Summer Dance Camp! Each day, students will learn a variety of dance disciplines including aerial dance, hip hop, acrobatics and tumbling. At the end of camp on Fridays, there will be a performance open to families and the community.
WHEN: All-day camp from 9a to 4p. Two sessions available: July 5-8 and August 1-5.
WHERE: Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center located at 9315-E, Monroe Rd. Charlotte, NC 28270.
HOW: Register here to claim your child’s spot. It’s 100% free with breakfast, lunch, and snacks also provided.

WHY: MoRA, in partnership with Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center (CCDC), has been awarded a Neighborhood Matching Grant (NMG) to offer this unique opportunity to students to engage in the arts, make new friends and learn new skills.
BONUS: CCDC will also have Wellness Wednesdays on the evenings of July 6 and August 10 with healthy tips and fun activities for parents and children.

MoRA, in partnership with Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center (CCDC), has been awarded a Neighborhood Matching Grant (NMG) by the City of Charlotte, Housing & Neighborhood Services.
In step with MoRA’s mission to increase the vibrancy and vitality of life in the Monroe Road corridor, Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center‘s mission is to inspire people of diverse backgrounds to explore beyond their boundaries through dance and circus arts. CCDC’s vision is to create educational opportunities for people to experience the world, which will enrich their lives and the lives of those around them.
Monroe Road Advocates (MoRA) is grassroots group of volunteers from Monroe Road neighborhoods, businesses, nonprofits, and schools. We’re connecting community in the corridor from Lupie’s/7th Street to NC-51.
