Halal Street Food opens at MoRA Point

News

Ending 2021 on a high note, Monroe Road welcomes the highly anticipated Halal Street Food—now open at MoRA Point (next to Starbucks) at 4044 Connection Point Boulevard.

Fans of Uptown’s Halal food cart will appreciate the family ties between cart owner Khumar Bashir and the MoRA Point restaurant owners, Daniel Tiru and Elizabeth Marmol. Now you can get your kebab fix close to home.

Italian designer, Doriana Durazzo @DDLuxeDesign created a truly beautiful space on the interior.

Halal Street Food’s menu includes wraps, kebabs, salads, and platters. Doner kebab (yes Charlotte, you can find it here), Shawarma, and Gyro spin slowly on the vertical rotisseries.

Wood-fired kebabs—lamb, chicken, and beef— sizzle on the grill. Pickled vegetables, toppings, and tasty sauces tempt your return to try new combinations. There’s falafel. There’s vegan.

Oh, did we mention the crepes? From savory options with turkey ham, egg, and cheese to decadent dessert options with Nutella, fruit, whipped creme, and fudge. It’s a full menu.

Stop by to welcome them to the neighborhood. Halal Street Food is open from 10a to 10p, seven days a week.  Daniel Tiru says they are continuing to staff (currently hiring for all positions) and will have their website and social accounts up very soon. Your patience during these early days is certain to be rewarded with deliciousness.
