What holds a community together – and what happens when those connections disappear?

That’s the focus of “Join or Die,” an Emmy-nominated documentary that explores America’s decades-long decline in civic engagement and why rebuilding our connections may be the key to strengthening our democracy.

The film, featuring the research of renowned social scientist Robert Putnam, makes a powerful case for something simple: Join a club, build community and shape something together.

This screening, presented by the McClintock Woods Garden Club and MoRA, is free but space is limited.

RSVP to reserve your seat.

“Everything that reflects connections with other people are going down … in barely a couple of decades, half of all the civic infrastructure in America had simply vanished.”
