Ways to Volunteer:

SCHOOLS MANY OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY TO PROVIDE THEIR TIME, TALENT AND TREASURE TO HELP STUDENTS BE SUCCESSFUL IN LEARNING AND LIFE. HERE ARE SOME OF THE MANY WAYS THAT VOLUNTEERS MAY BE OF SERVICE:

• Tutor a student.
• Be a mentor for a student.
• Read with a student.
• Organize a volunteer program.
• Be a speaker for schools.
• Organize career days or college tours.
• Provide clerical assistance to a school.
• Provide marketing, public relations, and advertising assistance to schools.
• Chaperone field trips.

Here you can get help with technology, language, learning at home, free food options, and other community resources (information is provided in multiple languages). Also, interpreters can be requested by parents/legal guardians of CMS students by calling  980-343-0057.

Volunteer by Proctoring

During the months of May and early June, CMS schools will be asking for volunteers to serve as testing proctors. Proctors assist teachers during year-end testing and are trained at the school by staff usually on the day of the test. To learn more about how to serve as a proctor at a particular school, contact the school office and ask to speak to the volunteer coordinator for more details.
