The countdown for MoRA’s 4th Annual Holiday Festival is on.

On Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 5 to 7 pm, there will be a ‘tree’ lighting of the Embrace sculpture, carols by East Mecklenburg High School’s choir, free activities for kids, free hot chocolate, and a raffle for great prizes. The Holiday Festival will be held at our community’s gathering spot, the Embrace sculpture, on the corner of Monroe Road and Conference Drive.

Carols begin at 5:15, and lighting of the Embrace sculpture will follow immediately afterward.

Famous Toastery will be serving their amazing French toast casserole, scrambled eggs, and breakfast potatoes. Beer and wine will also be available for a fee, in addition to the free hot chocolate. Food and beer/wine tickets will be $5 each, and raffle tickets $1.

The Girl Scouts will have activities for kids, and the McClintock/East Forest Womens Club will be helping kids with arts and crafts.

Cool jazz by Matthew Murray will overlay the holiday festival with a chill ambiance for the evening.

Bring a bag of canned goods for our Second Harvest Food Drive – you’ll get five free raffle tickets for each bag of food.

Note the rain date of Sunday, December 8 from 5 to 7 pm.

Friendly pups are invited too!
