PB Meck
Do you have an idea for improving our community? It could get funded by Mecklenburg County. Up to $125k, in fact!
It’s PB Meck. And it’s easy.
Residents submit their idea proposals, the community votes, and the County fulfills the winning projects!
Eligible Projects
Projects must be one-time expenditures (no multi-year funding) that serve a public need and benefit the greater community.
Here are some examples:
- Greenway enhancements
- Rain garden (a garden of native plants and flowers designed for rain water runoff)
- Build a small stage, or add a chalkboard, to your park’s playground for imaginative play
- Add a computer lab to your public library or community center
- Public art
- Local farmers market
- Community beautification
- Renovating part of a park

Proposals are due Feb. 4th
Get those imaginations engaged and submit your idea by Feb. 4th!
And then what?
PB Meck (Participatory Budgeting) puts the decision-making power in YOUR hands. You get to vote for where and for what the County prioritizes spending in the upcoming budget.
