“A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

By William Shakespeare

Step into an enchanted forest where mischief, magic and love collide! “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” follows two pairs of young lovers whose romantic mix-ups spiral into delightful chaos after a prankish fairy sprinkles a little too much magic dust – all while a bumbling troupe of amateur actors stumbles through rehearsals for the world’s worst (and funniest) play. This raucous comedy is packed with charm, laughter and just enough magic to entertain the whole family.

About Shepherd Shakespeare Co.

Shepherd Shakespeare Co. believes in “bringing the joy and wonder of the Bard’s timeless stories to all people. We believe the plays of Shakespeare are a shared cultural inheritance and should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We share this magic through performance and education.”

Shepherd Shakespeare Co family

SSCo was founded by a husband and wife team – Chester and Katy Shepherd – who share a love of theatre and performing for audiences of all ages. Both experienced theatre artists and educators, they have acted, directed, and taught all across the country and have been fortunate to work extensively with Children’s Theatre of Charlotte and Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte. Having lived in Charlotte for more than a decade, they feel fortunate to have put down strong roots in the Queen City. Now they want to bring their love of Shakespeare to as many people and places as possible. With a strong passion for children and education, they strive to bring Shakespeare to areas where it might not normally be available.
