The play was the basis for the 1975 cult movie “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”, which has lived for over 40 years in movie theaters worldwide. It’s a wild ride with an irresistible rock score, as well as a tribute to science fiction, B movies, and fishnets.
The Rocky Horror Show: Brad and his fiancée, Janet, innocently set out to visit an old friend, but a thunderstorm and a flat tire force them to seek help at the castle of Dr. Frank ’N’ Furter; a manic genius with an insatiable libido. The night’s misadventures cause Brad and Janet to question everything they thought they knew about love, lust, and each other. This show is everything your mother warned you about!
What to expect
ATC created the new outdoor venue with a festival feel—at The Barn at MoRA, 8300 Monroe Road in Charlotte. Complete with a performance stage and safer bring-your-own-seating, the 1923 concrete dairy barn and silos next to a beautiful mature tree canopy are the setting for the evening performances.
