We’re getting free N95 masks out to our local schools – can you join us for a couple of hours Tuesday night? We’re meeting at McClintock Middle School from 5-7pm. Here’s the SignupGenius to volunteer.
MoRA placed an order for 15,000 N95 masks and they’ve arrived! Now, the boxes need to be labeled and sorted for delivery to our local schools: Rama Elementary, Oakhurst STEAM Academy, Idlewild Elementary, Greenway Park Elementary, McClintock Middle, and East Mecklenburg HS.
Principal McHugh from McClintock Middle offered to be the receiving location. STEAM Coordinator Kris Gorman coordinated the logistics with MoRA’s Kathy Hill and Dean Brodhag at a Common Market work session after school.
“It was a Friday evening when I emailed each of the principals to see how many they needed, and every principal replied in less than an hour. They were really excited and appreciative,” said Kathy Hill, chair of MoRA.
Help get these masks to the students, staff, and families of our schools
